On December 3, 2014, the Ministry of Homeland Security of St. Kitts & Nevis issued a Circular recalling passports issued between January 2012 and July 2014. Since the announcement, significant progress has been made and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is continuing to work toward the completion of this objective.

Taking into consideration the positive responses and interest demonstrated, the Ministry of Homeland Security advises of its decision to extend the period of the reissuance to March 31″ 2015. To avoid any confusion, all other conditions and/or requirements associated with the initiative to re-issue the E-passport remain in place until March 31st (the previous deadline was January 31st).

Please note the following:

  • Children who would have attained the age of eight (8) years, must present a specimen signature even in instances where parents/ guardians sign the re-issuance forms on their behalf.
  • Where new photos are presented, the applicants are reminded of:
    • Teeth are not to be shown;
    • Ears must be visible where female wears Hijab.
